Ben Henshall - NBA Draft Analysis
In-depth analysis by ReverseEnigma
Projected NBA Role
Versatile combo guard with advanced shooting touch and functional off-ball movement. Henshall excels as a pull-up shooter and relocator, pairing NBA-range efficiency with strong mechanics and footwork. He brings solid feel as a ball-mover and secondary playmaker, showing competence running sets and executing skip reads. Defensively, he brings consistent effort and screen navigation, though strength and rim finishing limitations cap his upside. If he adds more physicality and continues to develop his interior craft, he could thrive as a connective rotation piece.
Swing Skill
Finishing Craft: Must develop better touch and balance inside to become more than a jump shooter; Functional Strength: Needs to bulk up to survive physical matchups on both ends; Defensive Scalability: Can be a competitive team defender but lacks tools to guard up the lineup
NBA Player Comparisons
Ben Sheppard: well-rounded combo guard with off-ball gravity, positional size, and enough creation for bench units
Lindy Waters III: movement shooter with size who sticks as a situational spacer and smart ball-mover
Miye Oni: effortful off-ball guard who contributed in short stints but lacked standout skill
